Most of the good movies for any particular year usually come to theatres around the end of the year. November and December being the most favourable. Keeping this in mind, I tend to watch movies in the cinema this time of the year. The past couple of weeks, I watched four moves that critics have been raving about; Moonlight, Arrival, Manchester by The Sea and, Elle. Unfortunately, I wasn’t as impressed by them as the critics. It could be because none of them met my high expectations especially after reading reviews on them. This makes me wonder if reading reviews before watching a movie is even a good idea.
