I am not big on wearing shorts but the past week was so hot and humid in NYC, I wanted to get a pair. I knew I didn’t want denim shorts. I don’t know why but I associate denim shorts with teenage clothing, and whenever I try them on, I feel like I am dressing like a teenager (nothing wrong with that of course, but not the look I am going for). I want something that isn’t too short. Something like the one worn by Ava Gardner in the top photo. It is so elegant and summery, don’t you agree?
